If you are encountering an error when trying to update Microsoft 365 Office applications on Windows 10, it could be due to several reasons. One common issue is that the Microsoft 365 Desktop Setup Tool cannot download updates if access to Windows Update or Microsoft Update is blocked. This can happen due to Group Policy settings or security configurations.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Verify Group Policy Settings: Ensure that the computer can access Windows Update or Microsoft Update. You may need to enable Windows Update and Automatic Updates in the Group Policy settings.
    2. Check Internet Connection: Make sure your internet connection is working properly and that you can access other websites.
    3. Manual Installation: In some cases, you may need to manually install the Windows Update components from the Microsoft Update website.

If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Community for further assistance.

    Hi,

I suggest you check the configure.xml file for ODT, please check if you have set the UpdatePath setting. If yes, please remove the setting and re-install Office with newer configure.xml file.
