- Set Microsoft Edge as Default Browser in Settings:
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the browser (Settings menu).
- Select Settings.
- In the left-hand menu, click on Default browser.
- Under the Make Microsoft Edge your default browser section, click the Set as default button.
- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Default apps.

- Prevent Permission Prompt:
- If you continue to see prompts for permission when setting Edge as default, it's likely due to Windows' User Account Control (UAC) settings.
