Can InTune be forced to do a full Hardware Inventory?

I've onboarded 20 laptops, 17 of them aren't populating MAC or IP addresses in Monitor > Hardware > Network details in Intune portal.

3 of them are fine and have picked up the WiFi Mac they need to join my corporate WiFi.

All 20 were built with the same USB sticks, are on Windows11 24H2, exist in the same groups and are the same model (HP ProBook 450 G10).

Is there any way to force a device to report it's Network Details (specifically WiFi Mac) to Intune? (Like a full hardware inventory that works)

Or is there any way to edit the WiFi Mac directly in InTune?

This isn't a problem unique to my tenant, I saw a similar problem posted here:

Does anyone know if there is any way to sign up and try it or any progress on it?

@Stewart Thom Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

For this issue, there is no method to force a device to report its Network Details to intune or edit the Wi-Fi Mac directly in intune.

Based on my research, in Service release 2411, enhanced hardware inventory supports the following entities:

    • Battery
    • Bios Info
    • Cpu
    • Disk Drive
    • Encryptable Volume
    • Logical Drive
    • Memory Info
    • Network Adapter
    • Os Version
    • System Enclosure
    • Time
    • Tpm
    • Video Controller
    • Windows Qfe

There is no entity of Wi-Fi Mac.

If you are interested in seeing all devices' Wi-Fi Mac, it is suggested to post in intune feedback portal. It is a place to collect customers' questions and requirements. Here is the link:

Hope it will achieve in the future.
