Gmail folders not syncing

We use Google Workspace in our organization. Some of our users who use Outlook classic (2019, 2021) on desktops have been encountering problems with syncing folders. Most notably it regards the "Sent" folder. During "Send/Receive" Outlook hangs up on subscribing to folders and this action takes 10 to 20 minutes. This action does not affect Inbox.

We have tried setting up a new Outlook profile along with fresh .ost/.pst file. This didn't fix the "Sent" folder. As a sort of proxy solution we have set up a label which included all sent elements and while it worked for a first sync. When we changed the label name from generic test to a more specific one it again broke down. The sync log shows the error code [8004DF03-0-0-560]. I will be grateful on any advice as to how this can be solved.

    Hi @Adrian Kaczyński ,

    Welcome to our forum!

According to your description, i understand that you can not sync Sent folder of Gmail in Outlook, is Sent folder empty?

If so, please go to Gmail.com>Select Settings > Settings>Select the Labels tab>make sure that Show in IMAP is selected for Sent.

Based on the above, it is suggested that you could try to create a new profile(Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles>add) and add the account for testing to check if there are some differences.

If the issue persists, considering corruption in send/receive settings file may cause this issue, You can try to reset the SRS file to check if there're any differences.(Go to C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook>Rename the Outlook.srs file to Outlook.srs.old>restart Outlook)

    Hope to help you!

So I have written a brief summary of the solution this issue. Please feel free to accept it as the answer, which would benefit others who also has similar issues in forum.

    Issue:

Some users who use Outlook classic (2019, 2021) on desktops have been encountering problems with syncing folders. Most notably it regards the "Sent" folder. During "Send/Receive" Outlook hangs up on subscribing to folders and this action takes 10 to 20 minutes.

    Solution:

OP used the sync tool provided by Google called GWSMO. Using this on the user's computer worked like a charm and fixed the Outlook problem. Guide for using this tool is available at https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/171710
