Issues with Mac Mini Enrollment in Intune

I am currently configuring a classroom setup with Mac Minis for enrollment into Intune and facing some challenges. Here's the scenario:

  • Setup Steps Completed:
    • Apple Business Manager (ABM) configured.
      • MDM Push Certificate status is active.
        • Enrollment Program Tokens created and connected to an MDM server with active status.
          • Devices added and a profile created using "Enroll without User Affinity" for multiple users.

Despite following the guides, I encounter an issue after the device setup. Once the device is enrolled and I create a local user, the installation of the Company Portal prompts for sign-in and attempts to download another management profile. However, I already have one management profile installed, which raises concerns about the limitation of having only one profile.

Is there anything that might have been overlooked in the process? Any guidance would be appreciated.

@Jordan Toms, Thanks for posting in Q&A.

From your description, I know you have enrolled your device in Intune using "Enroll without User Affinity" for multiple users.

Here are some steps you can refer to fix the issue.

1.Open Apple Business Manager and find the device.

2.Check the MDM Authority and set to Intune if it is still pointing to your DEP profile/provider.

3.Power off iOS device (critical step!)

    4.Sync VPP token in Intune.

    5.Wait like 15 minutes.

6.Power on iOS device and retry.

Or try to delete the device from Intune and Entra portal and re-create a new enrollment profile to re-enroll.

If there is any update, feel free to let me know.
