Azure Cannot delete postgres flexible server

Hello,

I cannot delete my resource:

Unkown error in Azure and "is busy with another operation" with the az cli....

How I can debug.

I can start/stop the resource but I m not able to remove it.

Check for Active Operations: Ensure no other operations are currently running on the resource. You can use the Azure Portal or CLI to check the status of ongoing operations.

Use Verbose and No-Wait Flags: Adding the --verbose and --no-wait flags to your delete command can sometimes provide more detailed error messages that can help identify the root cause. For example:

az resource delete --name <resource-name> --resource-group <resource-group-name> --verbose --no-wait

Check for Locks: Ensure there are no locks on the resource or resource group. You can check and remove locks using the Azure Portal or CLI:

az lock delete --name <lock-name> --resource-group <resource-group-name>

Retry After Some Time: Sometimes, Azure might be performing backend operations that can cause temporary conflicts. Waiting for a while and then retrying the delete operation can help.

Audit Logs: Check the audit logs for any specific error messages or details that can provide more insight into why the deletion is failing.

Check for Dependencies: Resources may have dependencies that need to be removed first. Check if other resources depend on the one you are trying to delete.

Use the portal: Sometimes, the Azure Portal provides better error messages or insights compared to the CLI. Try deleting the resource directly from the Azure Portal.

Someone from the billing ticket I opened say to me that the resource is in an unmonitored state and that I need to ask for a removal here. Can someone give me a contact ?

I don't have the support plan. The ticket open to billing Case 2412030050004262

They say to me that I need to ask here... I will be billed for resource I don't use and it's not fair at all even I don't have a support plan yet. (I m on testing phase).

@Fabien Donnet is the issue is resolved? are you able to delete the azure postgresql flexible server?

Because I am also facing same issue "Server Busy" error when i try to delete the flexible server.

If you have find a way for that, requesting you to share the information .

Hi, the only solution was to contact the support, to be able to delete the stuck Postgres DB and VNet, it takes ~1 month for the support team to unlock my resource and after that I was able to delete the entire RG.

Solution:

The only solution was to contact the support, to be able to delete the stuck Postgres DB and VNet, it takes ~1 month for the support team to unlock my resource and after that I was able to delete the entire RG.
