Hi, this question is related to the question I asked in the below thread.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/2119666/regarding-data-copy-speed-to-databox

I copied some data to test the speed and removed some data which landed in the ROOT folder of the Disk as a recyclebin folder. Is it okay if I remove this recyclebin folder on the Root folder.

The Disk shows like this now, please suggest if its safe to remove the $RECYCLEBIN folder.

@KA Welcome to Microsoft Q&A FOrum, Thank you for posting your query here!

Right, it is safe to delete it.

$RECYCLE.BIN is a system folder where deleted files are stored. If it is deleted, either deleted data will be lost or a new $RECYCLE.BIN will be created. It will not have any impact on data upload or our workflow.

We ignore it during upload. So, it will not affect upload in anyway. $RECYCLE.BIN will re-appear if you delete files / folders from the disk.

Please let us know if you have any further queries. I’m happy to assist you further.
