    Hello Adrian Ruchti,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A and thank you for posting your questions here.

I understand that you would like to know if there is update to TimescaleDB on azure to make pgai available from timescale.

Yes, there is an update related to TimescaleDB on Azure that includes the pgai extension. The pgai extension allows developers to integrate AI capabilities directly into PostgreSQL. But as of now, the pgai extension is not explicitly listed among the supported extensions for Azure Database for PostgreSQL - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/postgresql/flexible-server/concepts-extensions

However, the latest version of the TimescaleDB extension is fully available on Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible Server, which includes enhanced features and improved performance for handling time-series data. - https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/updates/general-availability-latest-version-of-the-timescaledb-extension-on-azure-database-for-postgresql-flexible-server

Always check on the link above for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

I hope this is helpful! Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions.

When is Microsoft going to list the pgai extension? Even with the latest timescale update available as long as the extension pgai is not allowed it unfortunately cannot be used.
