Installation of Office Pro plus 2024. Did not download setup program.

Question

I am trying to install Office Pro plus 2024. I enter to the https://setup.office.com/. I use my account and I enter the key of the product and I press the redeem button.

Then there is the following text in Greek:

"Πραγματοποιήστε λήψη της εφαρμογής σας και ετοιμαστείτε για εκκίνηση"

Which in English says:

"Download your application-program and get ready to begin."

There is also two buttons:

64bit Download

32bit Download

I press the "64bit Download" button, and I get the page

http://offline.officeapps.live.com/outage.html

with the following message:

"Μη διαθέσιμη υπηρεσία

Αυτήν τη στιγμή αντιμετωπίζουμε τεχνικές δυσκολίες.

Προσπαθήστε ξανά αργότερα."

that translates in English

"Non available service

At that time we are facing technical dificalties

Try again later"

please help.

It is likely just a temporary issue. Since you said you already entered a product key then the key is tied to your MS account. Go to your MS account in the browser. You can get there by clicking your profile in the Edge browser assuming you are using the same MS account for Windows. Alternatively go to https://account.microsoft.com and sign in.

Once signed in, if you have an MS 365 subscription, then you can install directly from the main page. If you purchased a retail copy of Office then scroll down to the Products you've purchased section and it should be there. The install link should be available.

If you don't see it there then click the Apps button in the top left corner and click on More Apps. On this page is the Install Apps link that will get you to the installer.

Alternatively go to Order history and find the purchase.

Okay so because its 2025 and it doesn't seem to be getting fixed anytime soon I've managed to find a workaround for it with the use of Office deployment tool (if you own a volume key like it was with my case), I don't know if im allowed to post links from 3rd party sites with instructions but I can advise to search it up. Also I've tried downloading the installer from another site and it wasn't accepting my key but if you have a retail key it might also work.
