I've tried everything on the Ip address window and on my computer settings to change the discoverable name of the printer on other current computers in the office. and it still comes up as the model number which matches 3 other printers in the office.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community forum.

You can try the following steps to change the discoverable name of the Brother printer:

     1. Print the network configuration report from the printer to find its IP address.

     2. Open a web browser on a computer connected to the same network as the printer.

Enter the IP address of the printer in the address bar of the browser and press Enter.

If prompted, enter your default password (initpass) or your own password.

     3. Change the printer name:

After entering the Web-Based Management page, click the Network TAB.

Select a protocol. Click Advanced Settings next to AirPrint or mDNS (changing one will update the other).

Enter the desired name in the "Printer Name" or "mDNS Service Name" field and click "Submit".

For more information, refer to this article:

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards

    Jacen
