I have the same problem with the same motorola edge 50 pro device, on my motorola edge 40 it works correctly
Microsoft Authenticator App not working on new Motorola Edge 50 Pro
¡Hi!
I recently acquired a new motorola (Moto Edge 50 Pro) phone with Android 14. I set up my account successfully and for a while my application was working but today, I started to experience a weird loop whenever I tried to approve authentication notifications, it says that my lockscreen info has changed and now I must update or re-enable phone sign-in. I've already enabled/disabled authenticator on my security info page, turn on and off 2FA, changed my password multiple times, check for phone updates, cleared device cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, changed my lockscreen (both fingerprint and login method) and nothing is working which is really frustrating.
Whenever I try to enable the account on my phone again, I log in correctly, but the app returns to the add account screen and when I tap on add account it already recognizes my account and adds it but if I trigger an authentication notification the loop persists.
My previous devices were a Samsung S20+ and an A52. In both phones I can correctly add my authenticator to approve authentication notifications, in these devices the loop doesn't happen. The S20+ is running Android 13 and the A52 is running Android 14. Using any of these devices to set up my authenticator it's not really an option as I'm not carrying them anymore so it's useless if I need to access my account when I'm away from them.
Is there anything else I need to do in my new device to enable my authenticator app again? Should I use an alternative to the Microsoft Authenticator App?

This issue has gone unanswered by Microsoft for a while, but I believe the problem is primarily caused by Moto Secure. Let me give you some context: earlier this year, I encountered issues logging into Nvidia GeForce Now. Every time I entered my credentials, the app simply returned to the login screen without actually logging me in.
After tinkering with the phone's settings, I disabled Network Security—both Network Protection and Protect from online scammers. I suspect it’s the latter that flags Microsoft as a phishing site. Unfortunately, I can’t test this further, as I’ve already removed all traces of Microsoft Authenticator and migrated my authentication needs to another service. However, you can try disabling these settings and let me know if it resolves the issue for you.
