Azure Data Share specific column selection during Data Share creation from Provider

Question

As part of one of my migration project requirements, my source team has agreed to share their data using Azure Data Share. But, they are not willing to share the PII data over Azure Data Share.

Does Azure Data share supports selection of specific columns (Non-PII columns) while creating data share from provider?

If yes, can you help to have required MS documentation for the steps.

If it does not supports, what are the other options, I can think of for this solution.

Unfortunately, Azure Data Share does not directly support column selection (projection) during data sharing

As an alternatives:

You can ask the source team to create a view that includes only non-PII columns and share the view via Azure data share.

If Azure Data Share does not meet your requirements, you might explore other data-sharing options such as ADF, Synapse and Azure databricks.
