Based on the information provided, it's possible that the SSD drive is not initialized yet. To initialize the disk, you can follow the steps outlined in the "Initialize new disks" article from Microsoft. However, if the drive is already initialized and still not showing up in Disk Management, there might be an issue with the disk itself or with the connection to the computer. Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Check the connections: Make sure the SSD is properly connected to the computer. You can try unplugging and replugging the cables to ensure a secure connection.
    2. Check the BIOS settings: Make sure the BIOS settings are configured to recognize the new SSD. You can check the BIOS settings by restarting the computer and pressing the appropriate key (usually F2 or Delete) to enter the BIOS setup.
    3. Check for driver updates: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your computer's storage controller. You can check for driver updates in Device Manager.
    4. Try a different SATA port: If you have another SATA port available on your motherboard, try connecting the SSD to that port instead.
    5. Try a different computer: If none of the above steps work, try connecting the SSD to a different computer to see if it's recognized there. If it is, then the issue might be with your original computer's hardware.

I had the same problem, this is wwhat fixed it

    • open Device Manager
    • expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
    • right click on Standard SATA AHCI Controller, select Uninstall (if you have more than one ssd, there will be multiple Standard SATA AHCI Controllers, the ssd not showing up will not have an "disable device" option at the top)
    • reboot, after reboot drive shows up in Device Manager
