How to remove paragraph spacing in word

I am experiencing some technical issues in my Word document regarding spacing between paragraphs. There is a lot of spacing between two pages and I cannot remove it. When I try to remove it, it just deletes the words.

It is especially present in parts where I divides some parts of the text in two columns.

How to fix this?

Thank you in advance! IMG_8842

    Hi @Sara Cetkovic,

Select the paragraphs you want to modify, right-click, and select "Paragraph" from the context menu. In the Paragraph dialog box, set the "Before" and "After" spacing to 0.

There are half a dozen formatting issues that could cause that appearance. Begin by choosing File>Options>Display and check the option for Show all formatting marks. Then repost a screen shot.

Mine turned out to be an alignment issue.

I was using Word 10 and kept having multiple line spaces inserted between paragraphs.

    Here's what worked for me:

Go to Layout, then to page set up, then to layout under that, then to page, then to vertical alignment.

On vertical alignment, change justified to TOP. Set as default for all docs.

Voila! Problem solved throughout entire 50-page mss!!

Maybe this will work for others having this issue.
