Azure Databricks integrates with RStudio Server, the popular integrated development environment (IDE) for R.
You can use either the Open Source or Pro editions of RStudio Server on Azure Databricks. If you want to use RStudio Server Pro, you must transfer your existing RStudio Pro license to Azure Databricks.
Databricks Runtime for Machine Learning includes an unmodified version of RStudio Server Open Source package for which the source code can be found in GitHub. The following table lists the version of RStudio Server Open Source that is currently preinstalled on Databricks Runtime for ML versions.
