Matt Hazard’s Back and Funnier than Ever
Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond is one of a rare breed of game: The successful gaming parody. This new Xbox LIVE Arcade game is a unique treat, with amusing writing, good action, and levels that pay homage to some of your favorite games. Matt Hazard, a self-aware video game character, must pass through a variety of classic game scenes as he attempts to rescue the 8-bit version of himself, kidnapped from the past.

At its core, the game is a side-scrolling shooter: You shoot stuff, Contra-style, and grab power-ups that let you shoot even more stuff faster and harder. Matt will mow down enemies by the dozen, sometimes splattering blood, or even enemies, on the monitor glass. It’s mostly 2D combat in a 3D engine, though Matt can turn and fire into the background. You can battle solo, or play local co-op. The game has three difficulty levels—only “Wussy” can be mentioned by name on a family-friendly blog—and the highest is tough enough to give even hardcore gamers a serious challenge. Blood Bath and Beyond doesn’t rely on laughs to keep you playing—the gameplay’s seriously good.

Matt’s first foray into gaming, Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard, had some funny moments, but even dialog in Blood Bath and Beyond makes numerous references to its lack of critical and sales success. It looks boring and i love playing vidioe games especially bioshock2. That game rules well yeah looks boring love vidieo games and bioshock2 rules and i beat it pretty fun well bye.!Anonymous
