TechTarget, InfoWorld, and Virtualization Review Recognize Windows Server and System Center Products in End-of-Year Awards
With many technology publications announcing “Product of the Year” awards this month, we’d like to take a moment to recognize a few significant wins for Microsoft Windows Server and System Center products.
- TechTarget’s SearchDataCenter.com named System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 SP1 as the Systems Management Product of the Year based on superior performance, value, and ease of integration into existing datacenter environments.
- InfoWorld chose Small Business Server 2011 for its 2012 Technology of the Year Awards for the product’s robust feature set “typically reserved large enterprises”, and simplified management capabilities.
- Virtualization Review reader’s selected Opalis 6.3 (now System Center 2012 Orchestrator) as the Virtualization Automation Product of the Year in the 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards, while Windows Server Hyper-V 2008 R2 SP1, App-V 4.6 SP1, Windows Azure, and System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 SP1 received the ‘runner-up’ designation in their respective categories.
Several of these accolades are first-time wins for Microsoft, demonstrating the great progress we’ve made, and continue to make, with our offerings. We would like to extend a special thank you to TechTarget, InfoWorld, and Virtualization Review for the opportunity to participate in these awards.
