It's a bargain - browse the Internet @ Seattle Internation Airport (SeaTac)

I was pleasantly surprised to find that wireless Internet access is only $8 (for 24 hours) at Seattle International Airport (seatac). I know it's free at many coffee bars but few airports that I've visited provide good value Internet access. It's nice to be able to stay connected whilst waiting for a flight :-)

Note: I won't mention where to find power otherwise I won't be able to find any for myself next time! Having said that I'm a friendly traveller who carries a 4 way power strip so can share :-)

Note: Establishing a VPN connection worked OK though throughput was unuseable.

It's not so long ago that there was only a row of relatively expensive desks for hire in the terminal - that was the only apparent way to get Internet access.

It might well be $8 at Seattle but it's free in Detroit.  May be we could start a site listing free hotspots for road warriors Andrew
