Have RoundTable will travel!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's (12th June 2008) DesignIT 2008 Roundtable discussion. Neville Hobson's blog post titled blog as an art form at DesignIT 08 describes the event really well.
I'm taking a Microsoft RoundTable device with me as a creative means of recording both the audio and video of the discussion itself - I'll publish it online via my blog assuming each of the speakers are happy for me to do so - the recording will be released some time after Stephen Prichard's podcast covering the event. As you can see in my earlier post titled Microsoft RoundTable a cool way to collaborate by video the recording will include a panoramic view of the room together with a window that will highlight the active speaker.
The roundtable will be comprised of the following people:
- Bruce Lynn from Microsoft (MSFT UK Marketing Director & chair for this event)
- Neville Hobson (leading blogger)
- Charles Thomson (co-founder of the international Stuckist art movement)
- Stephen Pritchard (blogger and author of a podcast for the Financial Times Digital Business)
- Jane Kelly (artist/Stuckist)
- Steve Clayton (blogger and CTO for the partner group @ MSFT UK).
- oh and er some Steve Lamb guy!
The idea behind the debate is to engage both the art and technical communities in a constructive discussion around the use of new media.
If you'd like to join the discussion remotely both to pick up the key points and to contribute your own input then try following the live twitter feed which is being run by the organisers bearing in mind that the discussion is scheduled to take place between 13:30 and 15:00 British Summer Time (GMT + 1).
