Windows Vista SP1

Windows Vista SP1 is an update to Windows Vista that addresses key feedback received from our customers. It will include all previously released updates, including security updates. Windows Vista SP1 will also contain new updates that improve the issues that affect customers the most, addressing key reliability, performance, application compatibility, and device compatibility issues.
Interactive Sessions are designed as an opportunity for dialogue between presenter(s) and audience. Please come prepared with questions on the session's topic to discuss with the presenter(s). Interactive Sessions will have less use of PowerPoint push out to the audience and more discussion.

BitLocker (TM) Drive Encryption - A Look Under the Covers

Russell Humphries, known by many as Mr. BitLocker, will give the audience a look under the covers of BitLocker Drive Encryption. This session will cover considering threat models and the BitLocker protection mode that best meets disparate attack vectors, TPM configuration for the Static Root of Trust Measurement, BitLocker deployment and recovery."

WDS Internals – Mastering the Windows Deployment Services

This session shows how configure, manage and troubleshoot WDS. It covers advanced techniques for automation, adding drivers, debugging the WDS Server and PXE Client troubleshooting. You will learn the new features in Windows Server 2008 WDS such as performance tweaking and multicast. It also covers WinPE, WDS processes, architecture and integration with BDD 2007 and SCCM 2007. You can expect lots of tips & tricks and live demos in this session.

With real case studies, Mark will show how to apply the Microsoft Debugging Tools and his own Sysinternals tools, including Process Explorer, Process Monitor, and Accesschk, to solve system crashes, process hangs, security vulnerabilities, DLL conflicts, permissions problems, registry misconfiguration, network hangs, and file system issues. These tools are used on a daily basis by Microsoft Product Support and have been used effectively to solve a wide variety of desktop and server issues, so being familiar with their operation and application will assist you in dealing with different problems on Windows.

Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization 4.5 Features and Futures

Microsoft SoftGrid is driving new levels of efficiency in the Enterprise. With 4.2 released, the natural question is "what's next". This session will review the Microsoft SoftGrid 4.5 including demonstrations of some exciting new capabilities that will be coming in the next release.
