Unable to add App Service to VNet

Question

Hi,

I've been able to add an App Service to a VNet using the Networking > Add VNet (preview) functionality.

I would like to add a second App Service to a different VNet, but whenever I attempt to do this I receive the following error:

VNet configuration failed.: Adding this VNET would exceed the App Service Plan VNET limit of 1. 

The two App Services in question belong to different S1 App Service Plans and are the only App Service in their respective plan.

Am I really only allowed to add one App Service in my entire subscription to a VNet, or am I missing something?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi @Ronen Ariely ,

In the mean time I have found a solution... I tried resizing my App Service Plan 2 up and down a few times and adding to VNet 2 to no avail. However, when I recreated the App Service Plan to create App Service Plan 3, I was able to Add App Service 3 to VNet2 i.e. my end setup was as follows:

App Service Plan 1

• VNet 1 with Subnet 1
• App Service 1 (web app) placed in Subnet 1

App Service Plan 3

• VNet 2 with Subnet 2
• App Service 3 (web app) placed in Subnet 2

Not sure if I'd misconfigured something along the way (unlikely because the setup is pretty simple), or if something was also corrupted in App Service Plan 2?
