avhdx files

Question

I have Azure Site recovery setup and it creates all these avhdx files which my VM ends up running on .. usually when i reboot the server it will merge them but that seems to have stopped working.. how do i get these all to merge or stop these from being created its taking up alot of space..

i want to avoid manually merging them as that will take forever to do

@PatelHitesh-9562 We create a avhdx file and merge it, usually during re-sync process, if it is not getting merged, there are two possibilities 1) There is a third party software that is running and triggering a checkpoint, thus avhdx files getting created 2) Could be an issue with the hyper-v host, which is preventing the merge

Eliminate the first option and if issue persists, we need a support case to be created to troubleshoot the second one.
