Hey there,

I'm currently having an issue with the SharePoint app, for background my org is working on a Safety Manuals document library in SharePoint, and we have a bunch of different additional file properties. For example, the type of equipment and what crew is using it. The goal was to make the Safety Manuals easy to find. In this process we've also been developing document library views to sort based on different criteria.

Now this is where the issue comes in, we mainly use iPads out in the field and so our primary use for SharePoint is the mobile app. However, I noticed yesterday that in SharePoint Mobile, I cannot see the additional properties that I need to see, and I can't see the views or do anything to change the view. I am able to search based on certain criteria, but can't see anything other than the file name. This is really important to us and if anyone has a fix in mind, please let me know, the safety of our people in the field is dependent on this issue

Thanks!

    Hi @nyeager,

It's true that we cannot change views of a document library and additional file properties except file name in the SharePoint app on the Android or iOS device. This behavior is by design.

However, we found a workaround for you. You can click Site Content, it will redirect to a website page window (like in the browser.). In there, click document library which you want to change the view.

Personally, I completely agree with you, this is indeed a good addition to the current features of SharePoint. Thank you for bringing things to our attention. We sincerely recommend you go to SharePoint Feedback community to provide your feedback: SharePoint · Community (microsoft.com). This is the best platform to let related team hear from you and make the products and services better for you and others.
