I have just deployed a new MECM server in our network and I am having some issues with the Administration service and management point control manager. We are using PKI certificates with separate CM and database servers. I will attach errors below. I'm not sure what this is actually affecting as I am able to push out clients and they are updating software and clearly communicating with the server. However, the server is screaming at me that there is an issue. I am able to browse to the IIS default site and the certificate shows good in the browser window.

Management Point status error messages:

  • SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER - Message ID: 5438. MP Control Manager detected User Service is not responding to HTTP requests. The HTTP status code and text is 12030, .
  • SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER - Message ID: 5490. MP Control Manager detected MP is not responding to HTTP requests. The http error is 12030.
  • SMS_REST_PROVIDER - Message ID 11615. Connection to administration service is unsuccessful because of PKI certificate issue.
  • SMS_REST_PROVIDER - Message ID 11610. Connection to administration service is unsuccessful. Error info: "Error status: SendFailure, Error message: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send."

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

    Hi,

Please try to enable the following configuration/checkbox to get the SCCM console for Administrative users, Security Scopes, and security roles nodes.

    • In the SCCM console, go to the Administration workspace, expand Site Configuration, and select the Sites node. In the ribbon, select Hierarchy Settings.
    • On the General page, select the option to Enable the Configuration Manager console to use the administration service.
