My account in Microsoft authenticator is not deleted

I have an issue with signing out of my old Microsoft Teams account and logging in with my new one.

My old email: <Mod remove PII>@companyname.com

My new email: <Mod remove PII>@companyname.iq

Whenever I try to log in with my new account, Teams automatically signs me into the old one. I also tried removing the old account from Microsoft Authenticator, but instead of being deleted, it just turns gray and remains there.

How can I completely sign out of the old account and log in with my new email?

    Hi Ali Alshamry,

Sign out manually from Teams via your profile picture.

Clear Teams cache: Close Teams, delete contents of %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and restart.

Remove the old account from Microsoft Authenticator.

Clear browser cache if using Teams in a browser.

    Reinstall Teams if needed.

Check for linked accounts in your Microsoft account settings.

Use InPrivate/Incognito mode in your browser to log in with the new account.

    Hi @Ali Alshamry

Could you please tell me if you want to completely abandon your old account and use Teams with a new account? Have you registered your new account and assigned the correct license?

If you want to log out or delete your account from Microsoft Teams, please refer to:

If your Teams is always logged in to your old account, please refer to:

At the same time, you should also try the method mentioned by Alex. Thanks for your understanding and support.
