Restore deleted resources in Resource Group deleted by ARM template

Question

An ARM template deleted all resources in the resource group DataMgmt-DEV today (2/21/2025). In complete mode, Resource Manager deletes resources that exist in the resource group but aren't specified in the template.

The resources deleted include:

usfstorage000dev (storage acct)

USFDataFactory-DEV

USFDatabricks-DEV

avm-pc01-devtst (VM)

more, such as private endpoints

Can you recover all deleted resources in resource group DataMgmt-DEV? They were deleted today 2/21/2025.

Hi MS Admin AZ,

From what I can see you can only recover deleted Azure Storage Accounts.

I do not believe there is a way to directly recover othere deleted resources. I would recommend opening a ticket with Azure Support immediately:

To avoid accidental RG deletion:

It is recommended to Lock the RGs to prevent unexpected changes. For future deployment I would recommend you lock your RGs as described in this document -Lock resources to prevent unexpected changes
