Metrics for Storage incorrect

The storage metrics for my PostgreSQL Flexible server no longer update. They do not reflect the true size/usage of the storage on the server. I have restarted the database multiple times to no effect.

If your Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server storage metrics aren't updating or showing the right size or usage, there could be a few reasons. Make sure you're querying the metrics correctly and that the time interval doesn't go over the 30-day limit for a single chart. Also, keep in mind that metrics are updated every minute, so there might be a slight delay.

If restarting the database doesn't solve the issue, check for any alerts or configurations that might be affecting the metrics. It might also help to keep an eye on metrics like storage limit, storage percentage, and storage used to get a better idea of your storage situation.

Yes, I am doing this using the Azure Portal. Screenshot:

As you can see, the metric no longer changes and has been stuck at 51% for the last few days.

check for any alerts or configurations that might be affecting the metrics

There are none in the Azure Portal.

It might also help to keep an eye on metrics like storage limit, storage percentage, and storage used to get a better idea of your storage situation.

All these metrics are affected just like the one in the screenshot above, so I cannot use them to resolve this issue.

Azure monitoring services can suffer from delays. Examine the Azure Service Health Dashboard to determine whether Azure Monitor is experiencing any persistent problems.

Try using Azure CLI to check storage metrics using below command, If the CLI reports the correct values.:

az monitor metrics list --resource <resource-id> --metric-name storage_used

Also check your Azure PostgreSQL Flexible server has Available status.
