Hello,
Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
If you can't connect to another PC on your network, the issue may be related to network settings, sharing configuration, or firewall rules. Please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot:
- Make sure both PCs are on the same subnet. For example: From PC1, open a command prompt and type:
ping [PC2's IP address]
. From PC2, open a command prompt and type:ping [PC1's IP address]
. If ping fails, there is a network connection issue. - On both PCs, open Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Advanced sharing settings. Under Private network profile, turn on Network discovery.
- Open Control Panel > Windows Defender Firewall > Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall. Make sure File and printer sharing for private and public networks are checked.
If the issue is still not resolved, please reply here with a screenshot of the error message that appears when you can't connect to the other PC, as it will make it easier for us to troubleshoot the issue.
I hope the information above is helpful.
Best regards
Zunhui
