I am wondering if it is possible to create sections for chats and channels using a smartphone. Currently, I only see options to rename or delete sections, but not to create one. Is the creation feature missing? Are there any plans to update this app?

At this point, the mobile version doesn’t offer the “create section” feature. In other words, it isn’t a bug or oversight (where something is hidden); rather, it appears that the creation functionality simply isn’t implemented yet for smartphones.

Developers on these kinds of apps sometimes introduce features gradually or only on certain platforms at first. Although there have been discussions and feature requests in community forums about the ability to create sections directly on mobile, there isn’t any confirmed timeline or official announcement that this will change soon.

If this is a feature you’re interested in, you might consider the following:

    • Check for updates regularly. Sometimes new versions add functionality not present before.

    • Look at the app’s official blog, release notes, or community channels for any hints about upcoming updates.

    • Provide feedback through the app’s support or feedback channels so that the development team knows there’s demand for this feature.
