Hello!
I was contacted regarding the message I’ve shared below. My question is: Should I only recreate the connections in the circuit, or do I need to recreate anything else?
If there’s a guide available, I’d appreciate it if you could share it, so I can understand how to proceed.
Here's the message:
You're receiving this message because you're currently using ExpressRoute Gateway deployments.
We're reaching out to notify you of an important update regarding your Gateway deployments that requires your prompt attention and action.
ExpressRoute Gateways are supported by underlying hardware infrastructure that requires ongoing maintenance. To optimize reliability, availability, security, and performance, Microsoft often upgrades any aging hardware. While the majority of these upgrades are completed seamlessly without impacting customers, some may occasionally affect customer deployments.
We've identified that your Gateway deployments are running on older hardware, with Gateway connections established before January 2017. To ensure a seamless upgrade to the new hardware, Gateway connections must be created after January 2017. Connections created prior to this date may not perform optimally on the upgraded hardware and could potentially result in degraded performance.
Required action
To ensure uninterrupted service, it's crucial you delete all your existing Gateway connections and then recreate them. Please ensure that all connections are deleted before starting the recreation process.
We kindly request that you take this action by 28 February 2025. If no action is taken by this date, you may experience a potential loss in connectivity, which could impact your network performance.
