Hello,

The .modelproj is created using Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise edition and we can able to open in 2015.

But not able to open in higher versions of visual studio.

I installed all the components under the code tools section and also installed developer analytical tool.

While trying to open the existing usecasediagram in VS 2022, it is only showing the xml not the design.

Kindly suggest how to open it in newer versions.

Also kindly suggest how to create new design diagrams in visual studio 2022.

Thank you,

Rishitha Juvvala.

    Hello @Rishitha Juvvala (SX/ETD12-MM) ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Are these files(.usecasediagram/.sequencediagram/modelproj) related to UML?

If so, the UML designers have been removed since Visual Studio 2017. Kindly see this document: UML designers have been removed.

Also kindly suggest how to create new design diagrams in visual studio 2022.

There are many tools(dependency diagrams, code maps and DGML, class diagrams/class designer) for diagrams, but I’m not sure which one meets your requirements. Perhaps you can check their descriptions firstly.

    Best regards,

    Tianyu
