I recently had to sync my entire onedrive to a new machine. In doing that, I started downloading last night expecting a pretty long download duration. I woke up with a pleasant surprise; it was somehow finished already. The problem is though, the total downloaded was ~650GB and according to microsoft I am using ~922GB. I haven't deleted anything, and the recycle bin is empty. What am I missing here?

    Hi @addohm

Have you enabled the File On Demand feature?

If so, this feature might be causing this mismatch.

It doesn't download the actual files to your computer, only placeholders or links to them. This could explain why the downloaded size is smaller than the OneDrive reported usage.

Besides, there are other reasons, such as rounding differences in MB/GB calculations. For more, please refer to reference: OneDrive disk space and file size don't match.
