Hello,

I have 3 professional email addresses:

  • Gmail
  • 2 Microsoft Exchange accounts

Outlook worked perfectly with these 3 accounts for many years. After sending my PC to the workshop and having its motherboard replaced, I received my PC back with a buggy Outlook.

Indeed, I can connect my Gmail account without any issues, but when I try to add the 2 Microsoft Exchange business accounts, I get the following errors:

Correlation Id: f889e0b5-d442-4e18-b217-2c93a7369235

Timestamp: 2025-01-23T07:48:58.000Z

DPTI: cdf4479ad4d7c68775389baf2b766405afc29fb71b581457a564dd8868682566

Error Tag: 657rx

Error Code: 2148073494

This error message appears even before reaching the Microsoft account login page. I get rejected immediately.

Here is what I have tried so far:

  • Connecting to the accounts via Outlook.com => Connection is fine
  • Deleting the existing accounts in Outlook and setting them up from scratch => Error Tag: 657rx
  • Uninstalling Office 365 and reinstalling it => Error Tag: 657rx
  • Signing out of all linked Microsoft accounts via Settings / Accounts / Email & Accounts => Here, I managed to sign out, but I couldn't completely remove the accounts. Both accounts remain visible.

For your information, I have my own personal Microsoft 365 license, but the 2 Exchange accounts I am trying to connect to Outlook are business accounts.

Thank you in advance,

You could try the following steps:

    • Reconnect your account. Try go to Windows settings>search Account>"Access Work or School">check if you can see your business account in "Access Work or School". If you don't see it, please select Connect and add your business account. If you can see it, please select it and select Disconnect. After that, please click "Connect" and log into your account again.
