We are using SCCM manage updates deployment, if I checked suppress the system restart on the servers in User Experience of the deployment, and I configured SCCM can force the client device to restart in client settings.

My question is: Will the server computers restart after installing updates?

It will block the restart. But this is easy to test and confirm for yourself. On one test server deploy a SU that forces a reboot and confirm that it doesn't reboot.

BTW, SU are not consider deployed (aka still vulnerable) if the reboot has not happened.

    Hi, @ka urdu

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

If you have checked the option to suppress the system restart on the servers in the User Experience settings of the deployment, the server computers will not automatically restart after installing updates. This setting takes precedence over the client settings that allow SCCM to force a restart.

Therefore, even if the client settings permit restarts, the suppression setting will prevent the server from restarting automatically.
