Recently, Microsoft has stopped providing free M365 developer tenant due to security reasons. You must have a Visual studio license to get one.
When trying to sign up for the Microsoft 365 Developer Sandbox I get a message that I am not eligible so I cannot complete the module.
I have never previously used the developer sandbox and when i go through the sign up process I get a message that I am not eligible for the developer sandbox program so I can't complete the modules for the certification I am trying to complete.

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A platform.
Typically, you need a Visual Studio subscription, with standard Professional or Enterprise subscriptions qualifying for this developer subscription. It's important to ensure that the email is not associated with a Microsoft 365 tenant (like those ending in *.onmicrosoft.com) and that it meets the eligibility requirements for the Microsoft 365 Developer Program. Please follow below:How do I get a Microsoft 365 E5 developer sandbox subscription ?
