As the meeting organizer, you do not need to respond to the meeting - from external email

I have several users experiencing this issue. They are getting calendar invites from an external company (LawCruit). These invites however are being "Sent on behalf" of them. So, for example, Jane Doe receives and invite from 'Mary@LawCruit.com sent on behalf of Jane Doe'. So the user is basically the meeting organizer (even though LawCruit is actually the organizer). Whenever Jane Doe tries to add it to her calendar, she gets a message stating "As the meeting organizer, you do not need to respond to the meeting" and the accept button is grayed out. Now, anyone else receiving the invite can accept the invite (the buttons are available). I've verified that they are not removing the option to hide the accept buttons, and this is verified in others being able to accept. It had been working as far back as the middle of December, 2024, but quit working around that time. LawCruit says they haven't changed anything. Our exchange admin thought an MS patch on the January 8th might be part of the problem (it did cause some other issues) but the problem these users are having started prior to that and we were also during a change freeze during that time. Out exchange/outlook is entirely on-prem. I do not know what environment LawCruit is running (on-prem, cloud, hybrid). Anyone have any ideas? Not really a delegate issue since LawCruit doesn't really have delegate access to our systems ever. They are most likely setting up a contact on their system for Jane Doe in order to be able to send on behalf of her (and the others).

    Based on your description, you have several users experiencing calendar invitations sent from an outside company (LawCruit). However, these invitations are being sent “on behalf of ” them.

    Here is my personal opinion:

    1.Have these users and LawCrui ever shared a calendar?

    2.Please check send on behalf for these users in EAC and if possible try to use powershell to check the user details.

    3.Check the exchange log.

    4.Ask the administrators at LawCrui how these meetings are created.
