Inactive OneDrive account listed as "duplicate account" - primary site collection administrator is another active employee

Scenario-

The "primary site collection administrator" on a terminated employee's OneDrive was reassigned to an active employee. The terminated account has since been deleted from the tenant.

The unlicensed OneDrive now reflects that there is a duplicate account, basically the active employee appears to have more than one OneDrive. What happens if the "duplicate" OneDrive for the prior employee is deleted when the ownership is the active employee? Would it delete the active person's OneDrive? I am about to test this with a non-critical account but wanted to post the question.

    I ran a test against what you said.

    When a terminated employee's OneDrive account is marked as a duplicate account and the primary site collection administrator is reassigned to an active employee, deleting the unlicensed OneDrive account of the terminated employee should not affect the active employee's OneDrive. The active employee's OneDrive is a separate account, and the deletion of the unlicensed account will not remove or impact the active account.
