We need an update on when it will be possible to create an External ID tenant in Australia, as this is critical for our company's planning and compliance requirements. Could you also confirm if there is an official roadmap for this feature and whether a migration pathway will be provided if we initially establish our tenant in another region? This information is essential for us to determine whether to proceed with the legacy Azure B2C solution or invest in the newer technology.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Michael

Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A.

Currently, the Australia location is not supported for External ID for customers. Our team is working on adding the Australia location to the new External ID/CIAM tenant. The location selected determines the datacenter of your tenant, and it must be chosen very carefully because it cannot be changed after creation

As of now, we can't share any dates on when it will be possible to create an External ID tenant in Australia. Keep checking https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/external-id/customers/whats-new-docs for monthly updates on external tenant.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.

    Thanks,

    Navya.
