I am reaching out to request your assistance in recovering files that were accidentally deleted during a deployment to my Azure App Service.

Unfortunately, I do not have a backup enabled for this app, and the deployment process seems to have overwritten or removed the existing files. I would like to know if Azure maintains any internal snapshots or residual files for this app service that could be used to recover the previous state of the application.

    Hello Vijan Bandarathilake,

    Thanks for your question.

Given that backups were not enabled prior to this incident, the options for recovery are limited.

Reach out to Azure Support to inquire if they can assist in recovering your data. While there’s no guarantee, they will be able to provide you with more info on what your options are if it is critical.
