Hello everyone,

I’m encountering an issue while attempting to restore a VM backup using the IaaS VM ILR (Instant Recovery) executable file on my Windows machine. Here’s the situation:

  1. I downloaded the IaaSVMILRExeForWindows.exe file directly from the Azure portal.
  2. I saved it in the C:\ directory to ensure the total file path is well under the 46-character limit.
  3. I did not rename the file.
  4. When I run the file in PowerShell or Command Prompt, I am prompted to enter the password provided in the portal. I copy the password exactly as shown (without spaces) and paste it.

However, I repeatedly get the following error message:User's image

I have tried the following troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists:

  • Re-downloaded the file multiple times.
  • Saved the file in short directories (e.g., C:\).
  • Double-checked the password for accuracy and made sure no spaces were included.
  • Ran the executable as Administrator.

I would appreciate any guidance on what might be causing this issue and how to resolve it.

Thank you in advance for your help!
