Hi all,

I have a service account with a Microsoft 365 E5 license assigned. I want to restrict this service account so that it can only use Microsoft Teams and no other Microsoft 365 apps. How can I achieve this? Please guide me.

You can select the user in M365 admin center >> Users, click LicensesAndApps, and uncheck apps except Teams in Apps.

i am controlling the licenses through an AD group. if i remove the user from AD group and assign the license manually will it work.

Hi @Glenn Maxwell

If you remove a user from an Azure group, you may need to reassign a license to that user.

Simply follow the steps above after reassigning the M365 license.
