Hi N Wakchaure, Jagdish ,
Yes, you can set up automatic synchronization between an on-premises file server and an Azure Blob container, but there are some limitations and considerations:
Using AzCopy is a command-line utility that can synchronize files between your on-premises file system and Azure Blob Storage, it only supports one-way synchronization at a time. You can set up scheduled tasks to run AzCopy commands in both directions to achieve a two-way sync,
Using third party tools There are third-party tools that can facilitate two-way synchronization between on-premises file servers and Azure Blob Storage:
Resilio Connect: This tool supports bi-directional synchronization and can be configured to sync data between on-premises servers and Azure Blob Storage
GoodSync: Another reliable tool that supports two-way synchronization and can work with various cloud storage providers, including Azure Blob Storage
Considerations
Change Detection: Azure Blob Storage does not natively support change notifications for automatic sync. You may need to use scheduled tasks or scripts to detect changes and trigger synchronization.and Managing identity-based access in Blob Storage can be done using Azure AD and RBAC. This ensures secure access management without relying on shared keys.
