Hi All,

I have an issue. I have configured FSLogix in our environment to connect to a local SMB share.

But for some reason none of the FSLogix Cloud Cache Services will run and as a result no profiles are being created for users.

The error that it comes up with in the event log is :

The FSLogix Cloud Caching Service service terminated with the following error:

%%4294967293

These are the settings I have in place :

  • Clean-up Invalid Sessions Enabled

Roam Recycle Bin Enabled

VHD Compact Disk Enabled

  • Cloud Cache Service
    • Cache Directory Enabled
      • Cache Directory (Device) type=smb,name="SERVER",connectionString=\server\profiles$
      • Logging
    • AD Computer Group Process Enabled
    • Driver Interface Enabled
    • Enabled Enabled
    • Specific Logs Only
    • Font Visibility Enabled
    • FrxLauncher Enabled
    • Log Directory Enabled
    • Log Directory (Device) \server\logging\FSLogix%computername%

    • Log Keeping Period (Device) 7
    • Network Enabled
    • Process Start Enabled

    • Search Plugin Enabled
    • Search Roaming Enabled Services Enabled
  • Profile Containers
    • 4 KB
    • Clean Out Notifications Enabled
    • Delete Local Profile When VHD Should Apply Enabled
    • Enabled Enabled
    • Is Dynamic (VHD) Enabled
    • Keep Local Directory (after logoff) Enabled
    • Outlook Cached Mode Enabled
    • Profile Type Enabled
    • Normal Profile
    • Reboot On User Logoff Disabled
    • Redirect Type Enabled
    • FSLogix Redirection
    • Redirection XML Source Folder Enabled
      • Redirection XML Source Folder (Device) \server\FSLogixRedirections
    • Remove Orphaned OST Files On Logoff Enabled
    • Roam Identity Enabled
    • Roam Search Enabled
      • Multi-user Search
    • Set Temp Folders to Local Path Enabled
      • Redirect TEMP, TMP and INetCache to local drive
      Shutdown On User Logoff Disabled
  • VHD Locations Enabled
    • VHD Locations (Device) \server\profiles$
    VHDX Sector Size Enabled
  • Profile Containers > Cloud Cache
    • CCD Locations (Device) type=smb,name="SERVER",connectionString=\server\profiles$
  • CCD Locations Enabled

Is there something that is conflicting in there ? or should not be in that could be causing it to crash the service.

Thanks

I fixed the issue. As I thought there is probably a conflict having settings for both VHD location and Cloud Cache. I removed all Cloud Cache settings and only used the VHD location and now the profiles get created.

The Cloud Cache service still does not start. And still fails with the same error. So not sure if this is something I should fix or if anyone has seen that. Probably worth trying to fix the issue just in case at some point I want to use CCD.
