@Phillip House Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your posting your query here!
It's possible that the error message you're receiving is due to the feature not being supported in your specific region. If the feature is in public preview or recently became generally available, there might be a phased rollout to different regions, and your region may not have been included yet.
Add Azure Blob Storage event source to an eventstream (preview) : This article shows you how to add an Azure Blob Storage event source to an eventstream.
Note: This source is not supported in the following regions of your workspace capacity: Germany West Central, South-Central US, West US2, West US3, West Europe, West India.
If the region you are trying to use is not supported, you may want to consider using a different region.
You can check the Azure services available by region documentation to see if the region you are trying to use is supported: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/global-infrastructure/services/?products=all.
When you add Azure Blob Storage events as an eventstream source, it automatically creates system events to your Blob Storage account and links them to Fabric events in Real-Time hub. You can then convert these events into continuous data streams and transform them before routing them to various destinations in Fabric.
If you are looking for specific region which is not available I would recommend to please feel to share your feedback here! All the feedback you share in these forums will be monitored and reviewed by the Microsoft engineering teams responsible for building Azure. here.
