Cannot Create Virtual machine Error "0xC03A0014"

Hello,

I have been trying to create a virtual machine, either with WSL or Hyper-V quick create and I keep getting this error code. I am local administrator on my machine so there is some other permissions issue?

Has anyone faced this before. What should I change in order to proceed?

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Ensure that you are a member of the local Administrators group.
2. Make sure the path is not a network mapped drive.
3. Check the specified virtual hard disk file to see if all the security settings are correct. You can do this by creating a new virtual hard disk and comparing the security settings with the new created .vhdx file. Usually, you should give the current logon user Read and Write permissions, otherwise this problem may occur.

If the same error persists, you may need to re-install the server and then create new virtual machines with these existing .vhdx files.

Hello

I have the same problem. I can create the disk but not edit or view them. I added permissions to everyone full control in any case. there is no way I can start any vm.

when I try to edit the disk I get the message: the storage where the virtual hard disk does not allow the shared use of the virtual hard disks
