Hello everybody,

A customer has a 4-node Windows Server 2019 cluster using S2D. On one host, one disk failed and was replaced. However, now all (!) other disks of this host, both the SSD caches and the volume HDDs, show as "Lost Communication". According to the systems's tools, the disks are all just running fine. It is just that Windows, or S2D, do not "want" them any more.

Reset-PhysicalDisk on one of those fails with error code 8, which I could not find documentation about.

How can we get Windows/S2D to re-recognize those disks and re-sync the storage please?

Best Regards,
Stefan Falk
