I have created an app to validate MS account (Accounts in any organizational directory (Any Azure AD directory - Multitenant) and personal Microsoft accounts (e.g. Skype, Xbox))
and I see an error in App Registrations Starting November 9th, 2020 end users will no longer be able to grant consent to newly registered multitenant apps without verified publishers. Add MPN ID to verify publisher but when I try to validate an MPN using the same account with these permissions in partner.microsoft.com - Global admin, Referrals admin, Report viewer, Incentive admin, Co-sell Solution Admin, Account admin, MPN partner admin, Business profile admin, Manager(Windows), Developer, Business Contributor, Finance Contributor, Marketer, it fails with an error - "The MPN ID you provided (xyz) does not exist, or you do not have access to it. Please provide a valid MPN ID and try again. Click for additional information."

    @Turbohire Support
    Thank you for your detailed post!

    From your error message - The MPN ID you provided (xyz) does not exist, or you do not have access to it..., this is most commonly caused by the signed-in user not being a member of the proper role for the MPN account in Partner Center. This can also be caused by the tenant the app is registered in not being added to the MPN account, or an invalid MPN ID. For more info - MPNAccountNotFoundOrNoAccess

    I am having the same problem as the original poster. I cannot complete verification due to the same problem with linking the MPN identifier

    • My user is a global admin
    • I have MFA turned on
    • In the partner portal, my company has "authorized" status for both Partner and Developer
    • My user is Global Administrator, Cloud Application Admin and Application Admin
    • In Partner Portal, my user is a Global Admin, MPN Admin and Account Admin

    In Azure, I have met these requirements:

    Ensure these prerequisites are met before you proceed

    1. Your organization has enrolled in the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) program and completed the vetting process in Partner Center.
    2. You are signed in with an account that is authorized to make changes to your organization's Partner Center account.
    3. Your organization has verified ownership of at least one custom domain in Azure AD using DNS verification, which must also match the domain used during vetting in Partner Center.

    ... but I still get the "MPN does not exist" error.

    Any help would be amazing!
