Migrate DFS Volume to another volume on same server

We have two DFS servers each has an StorSimple volume attached.

We want to move away from StorSimple, so we are going to attach an additional volume on each server.

How do I migrate over to this new volume?

Thank you

    Hi @Shofi ,

DFS only creates the links, so to migrate the actual data you have a few options, personally I would recommend robocopy.

Use robocopy or any other equivalent tool to copy your data from your StorSimple volumes to your new volumes, if the new volumes are attached to your existing DFS servers and the drive letters are the same then you won't need to do anything within DFS itself.

The drive letters may be different during the copying, but once you have all data copied from the StorSimple, set those volumes offline, and assign the same drive letter to your new volumes and you should have everything working again.
