Movies & TV / UWP 7.1 audio support

Hello,

does Movies & TV app (and UWP MediaPlayerElement) support in any way 7.1 sound?

We've tried to play samples from [https://thedigitaltheater.com/dolby-trailers/] but they play without audio.

I've also tried to convert these to MP4 with AAC audio codec which plays well in VLC, but Movies & TV app is simply silent (no audio).

How to enable support for 7.1 sound in Movies & TV app? Is there any codec we should use for this purpose?

    The Movies & TV app on UWP currently does not support 7.1 audio output directly. It primarily supports stereo and 5.1 surround sound. For 7.1 audio, you may need to use an external media player or check if your device’s audio settings can process and enhance the output. Ensure your hardware and drivers are compatible with 7.1 audio for the best experience..
