How to change the subscription?

Hi Team, I created my azure account using credit card, but now I came to know about the student discounts. Should I delete the current account and create a new one with a student subscription or should I link the current account with my student id? Kindly let me know how I can change my subscription to the student account. Currently, I am a student at KTH University, Stockholm, Sweden.

Hi,

As far as I know you cannot change from a Pay-As-You-Go subscription to a student subscription, the other way around is supported.

Easiest would probably be to re-create the subscription.

I tried to create a new account with my student ID, but azure is not allowing me to create an account. Also, when I tried to create a new account with my existing Gmail ID, then it goes back to my existing Azure account. There is no space for me to provide/furnish my student identity to create an Azure account.

Requesting your help so that I can create my student account.

We are sorry for this inconvenience. What is the error that you are getting when you try to create new account with student ID ? I would request you to send us an email on azcommunity[at]microsoft[dot]com and we will help you with alternate support options. Please provide your existing azure subscription ID and add "ATTN shashi" in the subject line. Also please provide reference to this thread and we will help you further to sort this out.
